LCH Services Overview

A brief overview of our services and locations in English.

As a nonprofit Federally Qualified Health Center, we believe in quality, integrated, Person-Centered care that supports whole-health change for all. LCH has been changing lives in southern Chester County for almost fifty years. We are proud to serve all.

LCH Health and Community Services is dedicated to helping adults, teens, and children reach and maintain good physical and mental health.  Our providers, nurses, case workers, behavioral health counselors, member relations specialists, legal team, and dental and medical assistants work together to provide the best care for our members.

We were founded in 1973, and we have continued to adapt as the community has grown.  We have health centers in Kennett Square, PA and Oxford, PA.  Our dental center, women’s health center, and pediatrics office are in West Grove, PA. Our staff speak English and Spanish, and we use language line to help assist all community members regardless of language preference.

At LCH, we accept Medicaid, Medicare, and most private insurance. Insurance or no insurance, LCH will take care of you.  We evaluate everyone to determine eligibility for discounted services. Our sliding scale fees are based on your income and family size.  We don’t turn anyone away due to inability to pay. We believe in health care for all.

Here is a brief overview of the services that we provide:

  • Medical Care: primary care, acute care, pediatrics, chronic disease management (diabetes, high blood pressure)
  • Pediatrics: well child visits and vaccines, developmental screenings, illness and injury care
  • Dental: comprehensive (initial exam) and periodic exams (every 6 months), X-rays, cleanings for all ages, fluoride, sealants, fillings, pulpotomies, stainless steel crowns, extractions, night guards, whitening. Also emergency limited care appointments to address things like swelling, pain, broken teeth/fillings/caps, and bleeding in the mouth after trauma
  • Mental Health: behavioral health counseling, outpatient therapy, psychiatric medication management, medication-assisted treatment of substance use disorder
  • Women’s Health: annual exams, family planning and contraception counseling, cancer screenings, STD screenings and pregnancy testing, prenatal care, resources for teens, menopausal counseling
  • Social Assistance: health insurance enrollment, legal clinic, information and referral, workforce development, GED and citizenship exam preparation classes

To make our services as accessible as possible for the community, all of our services have evening hours during the week.  We also have the option of secure virtual visits via Telehealth.
