There are people in life that appear just when you need them the most. Yolanda, a patient of LCH, began experiencing symptoms that were both confusing and concerning about 6 years ago. She was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, a condition that affected her daily life. She found support at LCH.

“LCH has helped me with my hypothyroidism. They do my follow-up appointments and help with my medication. LCH has helped me with referrals to specialists, including a neurologist for my migraines,” said Yolanda.

Yolanda first heard about LCH from her nephew, who spoke highly of their care and support. Trusting his recommendation, she decided to seek help from LCH, and it was a decision that changed her life.

Yolanda worked with her LCH provider, Michelle, to make sure that she had regular lab work.  Michelle also sent her for additional testing based on her symptoms and her lab results.  She prepared Yolanda to make sure she knew some questions to ask and to make her feel comfortable.

“The specialist found cancer in my neck. I got surgery a year ago and now I am continuing my care and checkups to make sure the cancer does not spread,” stated Yolanda.

Yolanda felt a sense of comfort knowing that LCH was here to support her. The team at LCH embraced her with open arms, offering medical care and genuine compassion and understanding. She is especially thankful for Tania, a Caseworker at LCH.

“Tania has helped me more than you could imagine. I don’t understand the language and she’s the one who schedules my appointments. She has held my hand through this process, and I don’t know where I would be without her,” stated Yolanda.

Throughout her journey, Yolanda never felt alone. The staff at LCH stood by her side, providing not only medical assistance but also emotional support. They were there to answer her questions, calm her fears, and celebrate her milestones.

“You opened your doors to me with open arms and gave me the tools for my health and without LCH I don’t know what I would’ve done. I feel comforted and protected,” she states.

Today, Yolanda is incredibly grateful for the care she received. She wants everyone to know that this is a trustworthy place to find support and improve their health.
