Healthcare on the Move: Penn Medicine’s Mobile Mammogram Van

On March 31, 2026, Penn Medicine’s Mobile Mammogram van visited LCH Health and Community Services. The team served 18 LCH patients by bringing vital resources right to our door at LCH Kennett Square. All 18 patients received a mammogram at no cost, reinforcing our belief that income, lack of transportation, or insurance status should ever be a barrier to life-saving care.

Through our partnership with Penn Medicine, we were able to bring their mobile mammogram unit directly to our Kennett Square location, expanding access to essential breast cancer screenings in a convenient, trusted setting. This initiative is part of Penn Medicine’s broader mission to make screenings more accessible and available to the community year-round. The mobile unit functions as a fully equipped clinic on wheels, allowing it to serve patients right where they are.
