Caring for Kids in Chilly Weather
LCH knows that your health goes beyond the walls of our health centers. We partnered with Concordville Subaru and their Caring for Kids program to provide warm coats for children in our community and to bring a little bit of warmth to their winter. Volunteers from AAUW and the community joined LCH to give coats from the Caring for Kids program, blankets knitted by the Loopy Knitters of Ware Presbyterian, and toys donated generously for the occasion.
Zaira, mom to children who received coats from the event, said, “The help you provide means a lot, not only to me but also to my children. Thanks to events like this, I know my children won’t be cold this winter. I’m happy that they get to enjoy the outdoors, and I don’t have to worry because I know they’re nice and warm.”
