Tell us about the LCH Women’s Health Center.

We are a team of health care providers that focus on whole-health for women of all ages and all backgrounds.

How long have you been around?

While LCH has been around since the 70’s, our specialty practice in women’s health care began in 2014.

What makes your services stand out?

Our healthcare for women is integrated with all of our other services, including mental health and social services, so our patients have a care team that is helping them every step of the way. With our Title X funding and our support from the state of PA and HRSA, we have excellent care and access to resources at little or no cost to our patients, regardless of health insurance.

Do you only see Spanish speaking patients?

Nope!  We see everyone!  Regardless of your background or preferred language, we take care of all women, and we don’t turn anyone away due to inability to pay.  Our services are bilingual in English and in Spanish because many residents in the greater southern Chester County community feel more comfortable in their native language of Spanish in a health care setting.

How have your women’s health services changed over the years?

When women’s health first started at LCH, we focused on pregnant women.  Now, we are a full-service women’s health center, with expertise in taking care of women of all ages, not just women that want to start a family.  But for those that do, we now offer Centering Pregnancy, which offers prenatal visits in a group setting to create social support and connections through women going through similar changes.

Why is it important for women to see a specialist for their screenings and not just their Primary Care Provider?

Women’s bodies are unique and amazing, and they have their own set of health issues that need to be monitored and assessed every year to make sure that their whole body is healthy.  Learn more about the different ways we take care of our patients at our Women’s Health Center in West Grove, PA.

January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month. What message do you have to share?

Get screened!  Cervical Cancer can be prevented with the Gardasil vaccine, detected with a pap test, and even fully treated if detected early.  Don’t wait.  You can always call us to see if it is time for your annual exam, or if you have questions about why and how.

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes, thanks to our expanded team and new location in West Grove!  Call us today 610-444-7550 to schedule an appointment to come and see us.

And what hours are you open and where is your West Grove location?

Mondays and Thursdays 8am to 5pm, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8am to 8pm, and Fridays 8am to 12pm.  The LCH Women’s Health Center is located at 105 Vineyard Way West Grove, PA 19390 (across from Luther House and next door to Willowdale Chapel’s Jennersville Campus.)

What type of medicine is your specialty?

Women’s Health. I take care of women from puberty to post-menopause and I also provide care to pregnant women.

Why do you like working at LCH?

I love all of the people I work with – my patients and the staff here at LCH. My patients are friendly and warm and make me happy to come to work every day! The women’s health team is dedicated and caring and really prides themselves on knowing each and every one of our patients.

What is your most important health tip for patients?

A healthy diet and regular exercise is not only important for your physical health but also your emotional health.  If you can fit in a daily walk I promise you that you will feel less stressed and happier, even if you can’t change anything else in your life!
